"What is a tertulia?" You may ask. Well, tertulia is a Spanish term used for groups of people who meet on a regular basis to talk about current affairs, culture and arts, literary issues and other interesting topics. A term very much in vogue in early 20th century Spain, we are now bringing it to ECN as an innovative way to incentivize discussion, promote new ideas, and strengthen our sense of community. All around a glass of good wine.
Join us for our first tertulia, where we will have an interactive discussion with Dr. Marcin Piatkowski, who will share the key highlights from his award-winning book Europe's Growth Champion: Insights from the Economic Rise of Poland, and talk about what China can learn from Poland's growth model as it tries to transition to a high value-added economy and achieve economic, social and environmental sustainability.
