Event Details
China had a truly awful first quarter in 2020, and despite its recent return to near-normality, is forecast to grow by a paltry 1% this year. What challenges will this very poor outlook present for China's leadership? Apart from more infrastructure spending, what programs and stimulus policies will Beijing put in place to alleviate hardship, provide jobs and sustain livelihoods? Will China provide a safe harbour for recovering markets, or must businesses navigate further turbulence ahead?
Join us for an onstage discussion of China's post-Covid economy with Simon Rabinovitch, Asia Economics Editor, The Economist.
We will be taping this program for ECN members who are not able to join us in person.
Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please contact us.
