Event Details
There has never been a more challenging time for global business - the war in Ukraine, the pandemic, inflation, supply chain disruptions, soaring commodity prices, and more.
Join us to explore it all at the RSF.
In this session of the Corporate Network's Regional Strategic Forecast on March 31st, our Global Chief Economist, Simon Baptist, and EMEA Editorial Director, Pratibha Thaker, will, among others, discuss the following topics:
- Business implications of Russia's invasion of Ukraine
- Our latest analysis of the Global and African economies;
- Monetary policy risks and inflation concerns;
- US and global foreign and trade policies and implications for African markets;
- The outlook and driving factors for the local economic and political environment;
- A panel of business leaders sharing how they are finding opportunities amid these ongoing challenges.
Also joining us will be South Africa's Finance Minister, Mr Enoch Godongwana. Mr. Godongwana took office in August 2021 and was presented with a massive workload. Prior to the pandemic, the economy was stalling, and the economic dashboard was flashing worrisome warnings about large twin deficits and debt-service costs crowding out investment that should have been dedicated to education, health, and infrastructure, for example.
