Dr. Tham is Emeritus Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia). She is also Visiting Senior Fellow at Regional Economic Studies (RES), ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, Singapore. She is a Board Member of Global Development Network (GDN) and Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS), Malaysia.

She works on FDI, including Chinese direct investments in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, trade in goods and services, free trade agreements and digital trade. She does occasional consulting for national and international agencies.

Aishah Daniyal (Aisha) graduated from Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI, Indianapolis majoring in Mechanical Engineering. She did her Masters in a joint program between UNITEN and Melbourne Business School.

In her past life with TNB, an energy utility, she worked to ensure the coal supply reliability to the country but left the coal industry in 2021 to join EV team as the organisation is moving towards its net-zero aspiration by 2050.

She founded the Malaysia first ever Zero Emission Vehicle Association (ZEVA), a coalition between all interested parties in the EV space i.e.
• car importers / manufacturers,
• charging point operators,
• EV owners;
• and research bodies.

ZEVA to-date has registered close to 45 members with active role to advocate for EV usage towards reducing carbon emission and is a formidable association regionally.
She is well known with the EV industry, leading the works around the policy makers to assist EV-friendly policy formation as well engaging the public on awareness topics of EV.

In her free time, she enjoys family camping by the river with her red EV that provides vehicle-to-load facility.

She also leveraged her social media heavily to advocate EV lifestyle to friends and colleagues.

Jigar Shah, Head of Sustainability Research at Maybank Investment Banking Group (Maybank IBG), has close to 28 years of experience in the capital markets, spanning equity research, sales, and portfolio management.

He leads the team at Maybank IBG to drive sustainability thought leadership covering themes such as e-mobility, decarbonisation, and voluntary credit markets, and to track the adoption of ESG amongst public listed companies in ASEAN-6 markets, leveraging Maybank's extensive research coverage in the region.

Certified in corporate sustainability, sustainable finance, and ESG Investing from NYU Stern, alongside carbon footprinting and natural resources management from CII-GBC in India, Jigar's expertise has been widely acknowledged.

His insights on sustainability/ESG have been reported in numerous publications like Bloomberg, The Economic Times, The Edge, and Business Times Singapore. He has also spoken in global and regional webinars and panel discussions. Notably, in 2022, his collaborative research paper "Geopolitics accelerating transition to renewables" was honored as the best in the international research category by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Sumana is a senior policy professional with 17 years of experience. Having worked at several dynamic and vibrant tech firms, Sumana designs and implements policies through advocacy, strategic communication and evidence-based analysis. With a flair for writing and communication, Sumana is able to negotiate complex engagements & cultivate senior-level internal/external relationships.

Sumana holds a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, as well as a B.A. in Political Science and Geography from UCLA.
