Event Details

Global trade will plummet this year as supply- and demand-side shocks ripple through the economy. More pressingly, the pandemic has sparked an uptick in protectionist behaviour and led to louder calls advocating reshoring. This will exacerbate global trade uncertainty, with the world still recovering from significant commercial disruption caused by US protectionism in 2019.

What will the post-pandemic global trading environment look like? Does the pandemic strengthen or weaken the case for deeper trade integration? What are the implications for global supply chains?

Join us on April 29th at 4pm HKT (GMT+8) as we explore the state of the world trade after covid-19 and examine these questions with experts and business leaders.

This webinar is exclusive to members of The Economist Corporate Network. Guest places are limited and admittance is subject to the Network Director's approval.
