Event Details

The 2022 BDO Middle Market CFO Outlook Survey – a poll of 600 finance leaders at companies with yearly sales of between $500 million and $3 billion – shows that supply chain disruptions are the number one concern for CFOs in the year ahead. Although covid-19 first exposed the underlying weaknesses of cross-border logistics, the war in Europe has raised a new wave of fears about the vulnerability of global supply chains.

The pressure is on for the CFO to navigate through supply chain disruptions. Across industries, CFOs are expected to secure supply and demand – while delays and shortages persist – and to keep costs low – while energy prices soar. All while ensuring that operations and investments are carried out responsibly and ESG principles upheld. Cybersecurity risks, labour shortages and (still) covid-19 add to the challenge of integrating supply chain risks to financial decisions.

This event is by registration-only and limited to 30 participants. We encourage that you promptly reserve your space.

This will be an interactive event, with peer-to-peer discussion at its centre. The event will consist of two breakout-room sessions of six-to-eight members each, followed by a group discussion which combines Q&A with experience-sharing from our CFOs regarding supply chain challenges and lessons learned.

We kindly request that attendees switch on their cameras whenever possible.

This session is a part of our new programme, CFO Foresight, which is designed for senior professionals leading financial operations from EICN members. We will bring together leading experts from some of the biggest and most innovative organisations across the world and combine their personal insights with the EIU's global economic knowledge to create a forward-looking perspective on the global trends shaping the economy, business and their own specialist functions.

Leveraging the EICN's global connections and our extensive network, we will provide a platform for finance executives to engage with their peers across Asia Pacific. We will meet virtually on a bimonthly basis and in-person on a biannual basis to talk about the most critical issues facing executives in Chief Finance Officer functions and help them create more value for their companies. The discussions will be supported by a dedicated online community where participants will be able to engage directly with their peers and get the latest insights from The Economist Group tailored and curated specifically for their job function.

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Intelligence Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please contact us.
