Event Details

The 'Belt and Road' Initiative was once regarded as the project of the century, one that would bring prosperity to the world and lead China into a new stage of high-quality opening-up. Yet, not only did the Initiative accumulate increasing criticism since its inception but, as we enter a new decade, enthusiasm about it seems to also have completely dried out. Instead, globalisation is on retreat, geopolitical instability is increasing, and China appears to be turning inwards with its new 'dual-cycle' development strategy.

Against this backdrop, is there a way to breathe new life into the 'Belt and Road' Initiative? What would this require and imply in terms of cooperation and investment opportunities?

Please join us to analyse and discuss the future of the 'Belt and Road' Initiative, risk factors and potential business implications.
