Event Details

Having achieved the "building of a moderately prosperous society", the 14th Five-Year Plan (FYP) initiates a new stage in China's development process which aims for the country to "basically realize modernization" by 2035 according to the pathway outlined in 'Xi Jinping Thought'.

This stage, however, is being fraught with increasing geopolitical volatility. And the fact that China has recovered from the coronavirus pandemic more quickly than other major economies has also yielded a more ambitious policy agenda, including renewed emphasis on indigenous innovation and a tighter focus on strategic and national security-related goals.

What are likely to be the challenges and opportunities that will emerge during the 14th FYP period, and what can businesses do to position themselves to succeed in the Chinese market? Can foreign companies continue contributing with their expertise, technologies and high-quality products to China's development priorities, and in which sectors?

Please join us to explore these and other questions in an interactive discussion with a panel of experts.
