Many of the second order effects of Covid-19 changed consumer demand across the region. Increased unemployment, reduced incomes, and changes in regional populations and demographics, as well as reduced inbound tourism numbers, combined to soften spending in many areas.

But as the region engineers its recovery from the pandemic, how will consumer behaviour and spending be reshaped? Will it return to pre-Covid patterns? Or will some of the new ways of consumption - step changes in online shopping and touchless transactions - that we witnessed remain?

Over lunch in a private pod on the new Ain Dubai big wheel, we will explore which sectors and product groups have been most affected, and which are set to bounce back most strongly. We will discuss how the consumers we thought we knew have changed. And also how the next generation of consumers will behave.

Join us for this special gathering of regional B2C business leaders in an extraordinary location!

We are limiting numbers to 12 for this small, exclusive lunchtime event, to ensure we can practise safe social distancing while still benefiting from the face-to-face networking we have been missing for a while. So, if you would like to participate, please sign up now.

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please contact us.
