China is considered by many a global superpower, with major economic and geopolitical footprint in Asia.
Having achieved the "building of a moderately prosperous society", the 14th Five-Year Plan (FYP) initiates a new stage in China's development process which aims for the country to "basically realize modernization" by 2035 according to the pathway outlined in 'Xi Jinping Thought'.
This stage, however, is being fraught with increasing geopolitical volatility. And the fact that China has recovered from the coronavirus pandemic more quickly than other major economies has also yielded a more ambitious policy agenda, including renewed emphasis on indigenous innovation and a tighter focus on strategic and national security-related goals.
At this luncheon you will receive an exclusive briefing, by the Director of the Economist Intelligence Corporate Network in Beijing, Alfredo Montufar-Helu, who will walk you through the key developments and trends impacting China.
What are likely to be the challenges and opportunities that will emerge from China, and what can businesses do to position themselves to succeed in the Chinese market? Can foreign companies continue contributing with their expertise, technologies and high-quality products to China's development priorities, and in which sectors?
Please join us to explore these and other questions in an interactive discussion with a panel of experts.
Please note that the round table is limited to 20 in-person participants (Primary member only) and it will not be recorded nor broadcast to online participants.
Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Intelligence Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please contact us.
