Event Details

China's climate commitments to reach peak carbon emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060 are consequential and ambitious. To succeed, China must descend from its emissions peak more rapidly than any other major economy has either succeeded in doing, or has pledged to do. Not only will this be a serious challenge, but it will also impact the business landscape, adding pressures to MNCs to decrease the carbon footprint across their entire value chains while also presenting opportunities for those with expertise in green technologies and processes.

In this session, we will be joined by internationally-renowned expert and founder of the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs, Ma Jun, who will help us understand what China's decarbonization agenda means for business.

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please contact us.
