Event Details

Geopolitics are getting choppy. With a changing of country leaders, come a change in policies and mandates - which will have an impact on your business.

We'll go through some of the upcoming leadership changes and where their policies are heading:

In the Philippines, elections have just been held where President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr succeeded Rodrigo Duterte after a landslide election victory. Elections are due in Thailand and Malaysia by early 2023 and late 2023 respectively.

Can exiled former Thai leader Thaksin sway redshirts to oust Prayuth in the election? Will Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob bow to internal pressure to call an early election?

Join us as we explore the impact of changing politics on the business environment with Dr Allen Hicken from the University of Michigan and a panel of other regional experts.

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of Economist Intelligence Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please send an email to eicn_sea@economist.com.
