    Managing Director โ€“ Regional Head of Sustainability MENAT at HSBC

    Based in Dubai, Sabrin is a seasoned leader with significant expertise in sustainability and strategic partnerships, currently serving as the Managing Director - Head of Sustainability for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey at HSBC. With a distinguished career spanning leadership roles in one of the world's largest financial institutions, Sabrin has consistently driven her regions to market leadership through innovative product development, strategic advisory services, and thought leadership. Her tenure at HSBC has been marked by numerous accolades, including HSBC being named the Middle East's Best Bank for Sustainable Finance by Euromoney for several consecutive years.

    Sabrin's role as the Director of Partnerships for COP28UAE further underscores her ability to operate at the highest levels of global governance, where she was instrumental in shaping and delivering the Presidency Action Agenda. Her contributions supported achieving the UAE Consensus, which laid out the ambitious political and economic actions required to maintain the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

    Academically, Sabrin holds a Master's in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and a Master's in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Sydney, specializing in the intersection of peace and business.

    She is also a certified UK Chartered Banker in Green and Sustainable Finance. Recognized for her contributions, Sabrin has been honored as one of Australia's Brightest Young Minds, received the Distinguished Alumni Service Award from Macquarie University, and was nominated for Young Australian of the Year in 2015. She is a member of YPO Dubai and contributes to the Sustainable Finance course at the University of Cambridge.

    In 2024 she was honoured in the inaugural global FinErth Women in Climate Awards for her efforts in unlocking capital.

    Anne-Laure has worked with a range of private sector clients in industries including retail and consumer products to address issues such as turnaround and growth strategy, performance improvement, digitalization, customer experience transformations and commercial due diligence. She has also led multiple projects for public sector leaders, policymakers, and foundations around national socioeconomic development, government transformation, education, entrepreneurship and innovation.



    Outside of client work, she is the firm’s regional Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) officer, and leads Bain's Middle East Social Impact efforts.

    Nirupa is Senior Vice President of Secure Power & Data Centers, International Operations
    for Schneider Electric.

    Nirupa leads a division of more than 700 professionals, supporting customers and partners
    in their digital transformation journeys and achieving their sustainability goals in an all-
    electric world across international zones, including East Asia, Japan, Pacific, India, MEA, and
    South America.

    Nirupa joined Schneider Electric in 2022 and is now based in Dubai. A veteran of the energy
    industry, Nirupa has extensive experience in energy grids, micro-grids, and automation, as
    well as project management, engineering, service and business development.
    Beginning her career with India’s largest industrial electrical company, she progressed from
    project engineering roles through project management, and country manager roles with
    major engineering firms, such as ABB and Hitachi Energy, in Singapore and Australia before
    joining Schneider Electric in 2022 as Vice President of Power Systems for the Middle East
    and Africa.

    Nirupa holds a degree in Engineering from Gujarat University in Electronics and is a certified
    project management professional. In addition, she is a graduate of leadership programs
    from both the Wharton School and INSEAD Executive Education.

    Stephanie Asgill

    Head of Sustainability at Dubai Holding

    As the Head of Sustainability at Dubai Holding, Stephanie is responsible for developing the Group-wide sustainability strategy and driving the integration of sustainability across the company’s operations.

    With 19 years of global sustainability experience, including 15 years at a multinational energy company, Stephanie’s expertise covers a broad spectrum, from sustainability strategy to Environmental, Social and Health (ESH) risk management, impact assessment and philanthropy.
    Stephanie has held both corporate and operational roles, gaining diverse experience across several countries including the Netherlands, UK, Iran, Qatar, Turkey and Iraq. Notably, she was instrumental in developing Shell’s carbon policies and represented the company at COP17 in Durban. In Iraq, she led environmental and safety initiatives, demonstrating her capability in operational sustainability. More recently, during COP28, Stephanie played a key role in Dubai Holding's participation in the event, where she presented the company's sustainability journey and initiatives, including discussions on carbon management and sustainable design, highlighting Dubai Holding's commitment to building a sustainable and resilient future.

    A passionate sustainability advocate, Stephanie was selected for the 2041 Foundation International Antarctic Expedition, underlining her commitment to climate change education and environmental conservation.

    Stephanie holds a BA and MA in Geography from the University of Oxford and an MSc with Distinction in International Development and African Studies from the University of Edinburgh. Her Master’s thesis, focused on the Nigerian Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative, was published in the Journal of Critical African Studies.

    Director, International Governtment Affairs and Sustainability of GE Vernova

    Sandra Helayel is the Director of International Government Engagement and Sustainability for GE Vernova. She leads outreach and drives partnership opportunities with government stakeholders around the world. Her role also includes providing advice on the development and delivery of policy and regulatory frameworks.

    In addition, Sandra is a member of GE Vernova’s global sustainability organization and leads various sustainability initiatives, working closely with the company’s Chief Sustainability Officer. These initiatives include navigating GE Vernova’s engagement at global climate events, such as the UNFCCC’s annual Conference of the Parties (COP), leading discussions and partnerships with international organizations, launching a global corporate coalition focused on technology and innovation, and supporting the GE Vernova businesses in their sustainability operations.

    Sandra is the co-sponsor of the GE Vernova UAE Sustainability Network, an employee resource group which takes a grassroots approach to supporting and furthering GE Vernova’s sustainability goals, including the company’s commitment to achieve carbon neutrality in its operations and facilities by 2030.

    In addition to her role at GE Vernova, Sandra serves as the Co-Chair of the Sustainability-ESG Committee at AmCham Dubai, and is a member of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Advisory Committee on Climate and Environment.

    Sandra joined GE in 2012 and quickly developed into a key player in the Government Engagement team, with her previous role leading GE’s government relations in the Gulf region. Prior to joining GE, Sandra worked at the Department of Finance, Government of Canada, where she focused on the creation of tax policy for the country’s finance industry.

    She holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Economics and Political Science from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.

    Senior Advisor โ€“ Climate & Conservation Policy at Emirates Nature-WWF, UAE

    Dr Deepti Mahajan Mittal is currently Senior Advisor – Climate & Conservation Policy at Emirates Nature-WWF, UAE. She is engaged across the organization’s conservation and climate portfolio, particularly on private sector decarbonization, and policy and finance for nature based solutions. Earlier, she led EN-WWF’s climate and energy programme, spearheading the programme’s strategy and managing projects on renewable energy, sustainable transport and climate business engagement. Dr Mittal has also been associated with the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment as Senior Policy Specialist, where she played a lead role in the development of the UAE’s Second Nationally Determined Contribution to the UNFCCC, amongst other critical projects to advance UAE’s climate mitigation and adaptation goals. Before moving to the UAE, Dr Mittal led the Centre for Research on Energy Security at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), India.

    Dr Mittal has undertaken extensive research and stakeholder engagement to support the development of science-based climate and nature policies, as well as to build multi-sectoral platforms for action. Dr Mittal has published widely. Her speaking engagements have ranged from regional expert group meetings and conference keynotes to trainings for youth COP delegates and university lectures. While focused on impactful climate action across sectors and communities, she also takes keen interest in multilateral processes and the functioning of inter-governmental institutions.

    Dr Mittal holds a doctorate in International Politics and Organization from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India; a Master’s degree in International Relations from University of Nottingham, UK, where she was a Commonwealth scholar; and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from India’s prestigious Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
