Event Details

The Asia Business Outlook Survey is our annual survey of business dynamics in the Asia-Pacific region. The survey draws on the views and critical insights of over 500 business leaders at some of the world's largest multinationals. Join us as we review the findings and consider how business leaders across sectors are positioning for 2022.

In the first quarter of 2021 South Korea became one of the first OECD countries to see its economy recover to pre-pandemic levels. EIU estimates that its real GDP will grow by 2.8% in 2022, on the back of strong external demand and rebounding consumption. With highly unpredictable outcome of the elections and possibility of the opposition conservative camp to retake the presidency in the election in March 2022, business have to prepare for the risk of deadlock in policymaking, as the ruling Minjoo Party's large parliamentary majority remains unchanged.

Join us to discuss what are the investment plans of MNs in South Korea, and which industries will be more resilient than others in 2022? How are business leaders positioning their strategies vis-a-vis highly volatile socio-political environment? What are the business opportunities to be considered and why?

Kindly note that all attendees must be fully vaccinated (14 days after 2nd shot and if it has been 6months since their 2nd shot, booster shot is required). Attendees will have to scan a QR code before they enter the hall.
