Event Details

As global power balances shift, Chinese companies are moving with increasing speed and sophistication across international markets. From high-tech manufacturing and green energy to EVs and consumer platforms, Chinese firms are no longer just competing at homeโ€”they're transforming global value chains, forging cross-border partnerships, and reshaping the rules of competition.

This transformation is unfolding against a backdrop of intensifying geopolitical tensions, regulatory pushback in Western markets, and deepening complexity in U.S.โ€“China and EUโ€“China relations. Yet despite these headwinds, Chinese firms continue to expand their global footprint, presenting new opportunitiesโ€”and new uncertaintiesโ€”for multinationals operating in and outside of China.

Join us and a distinguished group of scholars and industry leaders to explore the rise of Chinese companies on the world stage. The discussion will examine:

  • What's driving the rapid global expansion of Chinese firmsโ€”and where they're heading next
  • How foreign companies can competeโ€”or collaborateโ€”in a changing global ecosystem
  • The impact of cross-border regulation, security concerns, and cultural factors on Chinese firms abroad

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Intelligence Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please contact us.
