Event Details

Heightened geopolitical tensions, evolving domestic policies, and intensifying competition are reshaping the business landscape in China, prompting companies to carefully reassess their investment strategies in China. In this environment, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) have become a critical tool for businesses seeking to consolidate market positions, gain strategic advantages, and navigate regulatory complexities. Foreign companies in China are leveraging M&A to deepen local integration, mitigate policy risks, and enhance operational efficiency, while domestic players use M&A to strengthen industry leadership, acquire critical technologies, and consolidate fragmented sectors amid regulatory shifts and economic restructuring. At the same time, Chinese firms are increasingly investing overseas to scale up, secure technology, and expand market access.

Join us, in partnership with Zhong Lun Law Firm's most seasoned specialists, for a deep dive into the latest trends shaping inbound and outbound investment. Our expert panel will discuss key deal drivers, regulatory considerations, and best practices for structuring successful transactions in today's dynamic environment.

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Intelligence Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please contact us.
