Satoru Hiraga is Director, Chairman of Marsh Broker Japan, Inc. He is responsible for overall Marsh Broker Japan’s Management, including the area of Risk Assessment and Identification consulting for Japanese large size corporations and foreign multinational companies.

He was appointed President & CEO of Japan Insurance Brokers Association (JIBA) in 2013. He is also acting the important role for editing “Global Risk Report” published by World Economic Forum into Japanese. He is currently a member of KEIZAI DOYUKAI, and Disaster Prevention Consortium, Preparatory Committee by Japan Cabinet office.

Her former civic and professional activities include Executive Member of the Council for Science and Technology Policy, Vice President of the Science Council of Japan, Member of the Working Group on Growth under Council on Economic & Fiscal Policy, Vice Chair of Cluster Commission for METI and Members of the Central Education Council in Japan. Currently a Member of Expert Network, World Economic Forum.
She was a professor at Graduate School of Media Design, Keio, at Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi, and at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. Prior to her academic career, she was a consultant at McKinsey and Company Inc. Japan. She has been a frequent speaker and moderator at management conferences, seminars and workshops throughout the world. She also has run various workshops for international clients and recently for young global leaders including Global Agenda Seminar series, Davos Experience in Tokyo series, and SINCA-Sharing Innovative & Creative Action-series and Leadership seminars in Japan.

Yoko received her MBA from Darden School, University of Virginia; and DBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark Davidson joined Amway in August 2015 following 28 years as a Foreign Service Officer (career diplomat) with the U.S. Department of State. At Amway Japan, a $1 billion company, he oversees government and corporate affairs, media and public relations, corporate social responsibility, and regulatory policy. Amway, active in 100 markets globally, is the number 1 direct seller in the world.

As a diplomat, Mark served four times in Japan, including as U.S. Embassy Minister-Counselor for Public Affairs. He also served in Islamabad, Asuncion, Madrid, and Caracas.

In Washington, at the direction of President Obama, he established the interagency Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications (CSCC) in 2010. Previously, he also served as Special Advisor for Asian Affairs to the U.S. House of Representatives International Relations Committee.

In 2014-15, Mark taught U.S.-Japan relations and strategic leadership at the National Defense University, Washington, DC. He has published numerous articles, columns, and book chapters on U.S. foreign policy.

Mark achieved the Senior Foreign Service rank of Minister-Counselor, equivalent to a two-star general in the military. He received the Secretary of State’s Career Achievement Award and the State Department’s Superior Honor Award, among other honors.

He is Vice Chair, Government Relations Committee, American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ), and Co-Chair of ACCJ’s Education Committee. He also serves on numerous educational and charitable boards, including Temple University Japan, Hands On Tokyo, and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy Asian Advisory Council.

Fluent in Japanese, Spanish, and French, Mark holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an M.A. (Law and Diplomacy) from the Fletcher School, Tufts University.

Since Yumiko joined OECD in 2013 as the head of OECD Tokyo Centre, she has been at the forefront of policy discussions between OECD and governments, businesses and academia in Japan and Asia, covering a wide range of economic policy issues. She has been leading discussions with various stake holders in Japan and Asia, particularly in the areas of Corporate Governance, tax guidelines, gender diversity, education, international trade and innovation.

Prior to joining the OECD, Yumiko held a number of leadership positions as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. Yumiko has diverse professional experiences, ranging from banking in New York and London to UN Peace Keep Operations in Cambodia. Yumiko has an MBA from Harvard University, MA from Stanford University and BA from Sophia University. She sits on the Japan Advisory Board of Harvard Business School as well as several advisory committees of the Japanese Government. She is the author of a bestseller book, “Turning Demographic Challenges into Economic Opportunities”. (Japanese only) Ranked #1 at Amazon Japan, economics category.

Satoru Murase is a partner in Mayer Brown’s New York office and a member of the Corporate & Securities practice. He advises global corporations regarding cross-border investments and disputes in the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. He is well- known for his representation of major corporations based in Japan and other Asian countries in their overseas operations and disputes, as well as major US and European corporations operating in Asia. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, finance, litigation, corporate governance, compliance, crisis management, employment and government relations.

Satoru is identified in The Best Lawyers in America (2012–2018) and, The Best Lawyers in Japan (2012–2017) and as one of the BTI Client Service All-Stars 2012, those lawyers recognized nationally for client service excellence. He regularly represents corporate and governmental entities including the Japanese government on global government relations and regulatory matters. Satoru’s media clients frequently consult him regarding intellectual property and technology issues. He has represented clients facing international trade disputes before the US Trade Representative, Department of Treasury, ITC and Department of Commerce. Satoru speaks frequently on business issues relating to international operations, risk compliance and corporate governance at major corporations. He regularly advises US and Japanese nonprofit organizations regarding governance and charitable law issues. Satoru is fluent in Japanese and studied Chinese in college.
