Event Details
The pandemic has been life-changing for businesses and society as a whole - accelerating technology adoption, changing our interactions with stakeholders and moreover, has renewed the focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors. To many, the shift of ESG to the forefront of key business decisions is seen to be fundamental to 'building back better'.
Though by no means new in concept or construct, ESG has undoubtedly become more mainstream. This has led to companies positioning the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) front and centre of their corporate visions and investment funds making way for larger allocations of ESG compliant investments in their portfolios. Not only is there a global shift in mindset, Malaysia is also paving the way in this regard. In this special ECN KL session, we speak to two organisations leading in this movement - Sunway Group and Malaysia's Employees Provident Fund (EPF). Join us as we discuss their motivations, the strategies pursued to achieve their respective ESG-focused objectives and the value it has created for them both within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please send an email to ecn_sea@economist.com.
