Event Details

Often called 'the backbone of the economy', small and medium enterprises make up by far the biggest share of the Japanese economy in terms of the number of employees and contribution to added value. With the right strategies, many of them grow to become 'the hidden champions' in their field, capturing a sizeable share of the global market.

In the same time, inbound mid-size companies are finding new opportunities in Japan and are collaborating more actively with local partners. Emerging digital technologies enhance their capabilities and allow for realisation of the greater potential to advance their exports.

How can local medium-size companies become successful globally? What is the future of SMEs in the digital era? How to engage and partner with SMEs in Japan?

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please send an email to ecn_enquiries@economist.com.
