Event Details

On January 23rd Corporate Network will host Tourism: How to move the needle.

The session will unpack the potential of the sector to make a dent in South Africa's oft repeated triple set of challenges: poverty, unemployment and inequality. Joining us will be Gillian Saunders, previous special advisor to ther minister of tourism.

We'll engage Gillian on the approach being adopted to crowd local and foreign investment in the sector and, importantly, contribute to the growth of sustainable tourism in the country.

We'll also explore what's required to effectively address the country's wider socioeconomic and other challenges in the short-to-medium term.

Please note that this event is limited to senior-level executives and per invitation only. If you are not an existing member of The Economist Corporate Network, but would like to learn how you can attend our events, please send an email to ecn_enquiries@economist.com.
